Jonathan Carlson

Articling Student (he/him)

Jon is an articling student at St. Lawrence Barristers PC. He recently completed his Juris Doctor at Osgoode Hall Law School.

While at St. Lawrence Barristers, Jon has provided in depth legal research, legal analysis, and writing. Jon applies his creative, collaborative approach to solving legal problems to various legal topics including privacy law, defamation, non-for-profit governance, judicial review, health law, OHIP Billing disputes, and Charter litigation.

Prior to joining St. Lawrence Barristers, Jon worked on consulting projects for various non-profits, NGO's, and governmental service providers with the aim of improving access to justice throughout the province. As part of this work, and his graduate studies, he conducted primary research projects involving interviews, surveys, document review, and quantitative legal analysis.

Outside of his legal career, Jon is a drummer, who frequently performed domestically and abroad. He still maintains a presence, and passion for local artistic scenes, and Canadian Music.

Jon, and his two-year-old Jindo Jebi, are always looking for ways to creatively apply the law to solve their client's issues.
