Jonathan Carlson

Lawyer (he/him)

Jon is a lawyer at St. Lawrence Barristers PC. He completed his Juris Doctor at Osgoode Hall Law School in 2025 and was called in 2026.

While at St. Lawrence Barristers, Jon has worked with a variety of institutional and individual clients. Jon applies his creative, collaborative approach to solving legal problems to various legal topics including privacy law, defamation, non-for-profit governance, regulated professions, price negotiations,  judicial review, health law, OHIP Billing disputes, and Charter litigation.

Since his first summer at St. Lawrence Barristers, Jon has worked closely with clients from a variety of industries including social media, healthcare, entertainment, wine manufacturing, and charitable activities. 

Prior to joining St. Lawrence Barristers, Jon worked on consulting projects for various non-profits, NGO's, and governmental service providers with the aim of improving access to justice throughout the province. As part of this work, and his graduate studies, he conducted primary research projects involving interviews, surveys, document review, and quantitative legal analysis.

Outside of his legal career, Jon is a drummer, who frequently performed domestically and abroad. Jon is a proud father of two dogs. Jebi, a three-year old Jindo, and Jack a five month old Husky-Lab puppy. The three work collaboratively to find new ways to creatively apply the law to solve their client's issues.
